Steve graduated from Saint Mary's College of California in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Health Science and a minor in Sports Medicine. He then went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the number one ranked University of Southern California, graduating in 2010.
During his training at the University of Southern California Steve completed clinical rotations in the orthopedic, pediatric and inpatient settings. Heavy concentration was placed in the orthopedic setting with a combined total of 48 weeks in the outpatient orthopedic setting.
In 2011 Steve completed a year long Orthopaedic Residency Program from the Kaiser Permanente Southern California Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program. In June of 2012, he went on to be Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
Recently, Steve has furthered his education by completing the 6 month course, Advanced Functional Biomechanics of the Lower Quarter taught by Dr. Christopher M. Powers, PT, PhD, FACSM, FAPTA. This course has led him to use video gait and running analysis to improve outcomes in his patients. To advance his expertise as a movement analysis expert, he is currently attending courses for the Kaiser Movement Science Fellowship Program.
Steve enjoys an active lifestyle which includes beach workouts, resistance training, hiking, snowboarding, rock climbing and traveling.
