Devam Sharma, PT, DPT
DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY
Born and raised in West Los Angeles, Devam developed an appreciation of sports and an active lifestyle at a young age. He enjoyed playing basketball and soccer. He is a Lakers, Dodgers, and Rams fan at heart. He always knew he wanted to be in the medical field and was fortunate to stay local for higher education. He attended UCLA and received his bachelor’s degree in psychology. Knowing he had a passion for helping others and a passion for sports, he decided to blend the two and pursue a career in physical therapy. He attended Chapman University and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in 2024. (Fun Fact: Continually accredited since 1928, Chapman's Department of Physical Therapy is the longest running Physical Therapists Education program in the United States.)
While working towards his doctorate, he conducted several projects looking into Environmental Modifications for Dementia Patients, Conservative Versus Surgical Treatment Of Adhesive Capsulitis, and The Accuracy Of Special Tests On Rotator Cuff Tears. But it was during his schooling that he found his true passion; rehabilitating individuals from injuries to regain their independence in function.
After graduating from Chapman, his clinical rotations placed him in several outpatient setting working with spinal disc herniations and spinal stenosis, as well as a variety of orthopaedic non, pre, and post operative conditions.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and running. He is a life-long learner and is ready to continue to grow as a physical therapist with PRO Physical Therapy.
