Gerardo Macias, PT, DPT
DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY
Gerardo graduated with his doctorate in physical therapy from George Fox University, located in Newberg Oregon. While attending George Fox University, he conducted research on a pre-running program aimed to help prevent running related injuries in novice runners. As an opportunity to take his studies abroad, Gerardo was a contributing student in a service trip to Kampala, Uganda, where he, along with a team of students and professors, treated children with various physical disabilities in order to improve their quality of life through exercise and meaningful participation. Before earning his doctorate, Gerardo earned his BS in exercise sport science with a concentration in physical therapy from Oregon State University.
Previous to Gerardo’s educational journey, he served four years in the United States Marine Corps. He served one combat tour in Afghanistan as an infantry mortarman and a martial arts instructor, earning a combat action ribbon and certificate of commendation.
On his free time, Gerardo loves exploring new places as well as spending time with family and friends. He loves the outdoors and enjoys any type of physical activity.
